Well as you know it has been a long dreadfull winter up in my part of the country with snow just now leaving the ground so I find myself back into working outside which gets the ALPACA juices going again!!!
We have already had 3 new crias this year with around 100 due. we will sell any female we have up to the time the baby hits the ground so check out our due dates. We are getting ready to do the PNNA Showcase Show in the Tri Cities next month and will be entering 12 juvenilles.
We would love to start having some farm visits with the snow melted and hope to hear from you soon.
December 15thWishing everyone a happy and joyfull Christmas !!!
The Year has flown by and i guess that is the way it goes as you get older. We want to thank everyone for your buisness this year and hope all of you enjoy your new ventures. As I reflect over the past year i realize how much the alpaca buisness has given me not just financially but in terms of opening up new friendships. I have met so many nice people in this buisness and lots of them have developed into lifetime friendships that will be with me forever. Once again Merry Christmas To All Bill Graham

Back from Alaska and had a blast! Mike Safley and his son KC also joined me for part of the stay and they ate more fresh dungeness crab than anyone I've ever had up there.
Lots of things happening at the ranch!!!!!
We just sold a third interest of Snowmass Ice Capade to Alpacas by the Sea and he will be doing his thing in the Bay area in the next few months. Be looking for the arrival date.
Ken and Victoria Hibbits also leased two fabulous males and these males have already taken the jouney and are ready to start there California breeding spree. They have Tigger who is a fabulous Peruvian Male who has won two Get a Sire awards as well as numerous championships. He is 3/4 Accoyo and a son of Torbio.

They also have another Snowmass male Wizard. Incredible male who has just had his first offspring both females and they are knockouts. With his low microns, fabulous luster and tight penciled locks give them a call if you need to add these strong traits into your breeding program

I 'm having a hard time believing it has been a month and a half since I last added to this page. i guess thats what happens when your getting older and have lots to do. All is well at the ranch and I'll be heading to Alaska in a few days to catch some fall silver salmon. I'll be assisted by my fellow breeder Mike Safley and his now grown up son KC. We have a break in births for a few weeks so time for one last trip to the fishing lodge. Hey i just thought of something visit the ranch and recieve salmon fillet caught by an alpaca breeder. That might be taking to far!!! Anyways i hope all of you had a great summer and all your crias were females. We've been fortunate this birthing season and have some extreamly nice crias for next years sales.
July 14th
It's hot in the Northwest with temperatures in the 100's. So far all is well with the alpacas but the fields are turning into partched wastelands. I found out my water supply will not withstand a month of no rain and that I need to drill another well. Once again lots of crias being born. We are selecting a group to put in auctions this next spring but have lots of nice females left. I'm in the mood to make a package sale and the pencil is sharp. Our last 25 crias were as follows- 22 females and 3 males. So I'm in a great mood and ready to offer some exceptional 3 in one packages.

Lots of new crias almost daily. The best part is that we have had a tremendous run of females. Old Trails has decided to offer some attractive mother cria packages! If you are interested contact us and we will try to make a package work for you. We can also add any male to a package to eliminate the hassle of hauling your alpacas for outside breedings. We still have a nice selection of herdsire worthy males to choose from.We have lots of construction going on at the ranch with new fencing, peruvian inspired rock walls, outdoor rock fire place and new barns. So along with breedings, new babies we have had our hands full. I did watch a very entertaining movie last week called the Last Flight Home by a fellow alpaca breeder. Jennifer Powers and her husband. They did a fabulous job and the cause if wonderful. Check this out.
June 26th
I cant believe how fast time goes by. We have most of our shearing done and have had 25 new crias since the 1st of June. Several nice new alpaca people have visited the farm as well as some established breeders. Accoyo Viceroy has been very busy and is getting the job done breeding up a storm. My plan was to update the site with new arrivals but that has been a good thought only. Here is one real unusual suri female we had last week, She is named after my little girl Sienna who is now a young lady hence Lady Sienna

We have a new article written about Homozygous odds in suri breedings that is very informative check it out http://www.oldtrailsalpacas.com/homozygous_suri.html. New babies are happening almost daily and we can make some very nice mom cria packages. Also the sales of Viceroy breedings are doing quite well. If you need a breeding to a full Accoyo suri male at $1500 (dont wait). We will keep it available for a bit longer.
May 23rdI just returned fro a much needed fishing trip in Alaska and came back to few beautiful crias. Remember we do not take our females off the market and you can buy close to delivery females from our site and have the crias as long as they haven't hit the ground and the contracts are signed. A very good deal if you have a female cria.
May 5th Let the Legend Continue
This past year was saddened with the passing of one of the countries premiere Suri Herdsires, Uribe better known as Durazno. As many Suri breeders know Durazno’s crias are the foundation for the best suri programs in America and won major show awards over the years. We are offering outside breeding to his 100% Accoyo son to carry on his supreme award winning genetics. Accoyo Viceroy has produced spectacular award winning crias with the same tradition as his sire! This is a rare opportunity to breed to a Full Accoyo Fawn Male sired by DURAZNO. Accoyo Viceroy will add Quality, Prestige and Proven Genetics to any breeding program. Affordable to breeders who want to take their program to the next level

April 29th --We just returned from the Pacific Northwest Alpaca Showcase Show in Couer d'Lene Id. There were close to 500 alpacas entered in the show that was represented with some of the nations top breeders. Old Trails entered 12 suris in the show and was very pleased to place 3rd or higher in 10 of the classes we entered. We took four 1st place ribbons, three 2nd place and three 3rd place ribbons. Three of the suri females that we sold to Briar Creek Farmstead did very well. Eboni a black yearling female taking 1st, Sweet Sabrina a white yearling female taking 1st and going on to win the color grand champion award and Ginger a fawn juvenille female placing 3rd
We showed all males with Chippendale taking 1st in the adult beige/light fawn class and Gabriel taking 1st in the adult medium brown class.
Our 2nd place males were, Bodacious in the adult white males, Tico's Advantage in the medium brown adult males, and Caswell in the multi colored yearlings.
3rd place finishers were Vesuvios in the black yearlings, and Brilliante in the juvenille multi color. The judge was Charlene Friedman and I thought she did a very nice job. The halter classes in the suris took 2 entire days to judge.April 27th 2007
